How to Write a Carbon Reduction Plan, online with Historic England

How to Write a Carbon Reduction Plan has been designed to support organisations to build on their carbon footprint report to write a basic plan for carbon reduction whilst also engaging with staff, volunteers and visitors. It is being offered as a pilot by Historic England only to museums in the North of England at this stage.
This 2-hour online trainer led session covers the following:
- Decide on your organisations carbon reduction priorities
- Plan your carbon reduction actions
- Embed within your organisation
- By the end of the workshop, learners will have started to identify their carbon reduction priorities, have a plan to write carbon reduction actions, and to embed the plan within their organisation’s governance.
Attendees
- Must work or volunteer for a museum in the North of England.
- Only one participant per organisation.
- Are expected to have a Carbon Literacy level knowledge of climate change before attending this workshop
To gain the most benefit from this workshop it advisable for attendees to have a basic Carbon Footprint Report for their organisation.
This training is a starting point for organisations who want to work towards following the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol principles. It is not designed for organisations who need to report their emissions to the government.
