Meet the MD North Team online
Museum Development North (MD North) is a new partnership between York Museums Trust, the Manchester Partnership, Cumbria Museum Consortium and Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums.
The partnership builds on strong foundations of delivering regional Museum Development programmes from 2012 to 2024 with a track record of collaborative programme delivery across the North and nationally. With £1.4m investment from Arts Council England we are funded to support museums across the north of England from April 2024 to March 2026.
MD North will enable strong, agile museums to contribute to the distinctive life, cultures and identity of the North of England and be widely valued for their transformational impact.
- We will challenge museums in the North of England to be the best they can be, for everyone.
- We will empower museums to be sustainable, inclusive and dynamic, having a positive impact on people, communities and society.
- We will create opportunities for museums to connect, collaborate and grow.
