Creating Engaging Experiences for your Users

Understanding your core and target audiences informs how to best engage them with your museum and improve their experiences. Offering stimulating and diverse ways for users to engage with museum collections is one of the sector’s key roles and an essential requirement for meeting the Accreditation Standard. It’s also important to promote those engagement opportunities effectively through our communications channels and the access we provide to collections, the stories they hold and our physical spaces.

This workshop will provide a briefing about how museums participating in the Scheme are expected to:

  • Provide stimulating learning and discovery activities, including exhibitions and programmes based on collections
  • Communicate effectively with users and potential users through a range of access, marketing and promotional activities

You’ll also have the opportunity to interact with fellow attendees through activities and group discussions.
