Photographing objects: simple tips on how to get better results, 1.30-4pm
This workshop led by photographer Michael Pollard will be based around a simple table-top set-up designed to show how best to achieve good quality, clear images of objects made from a variety of materials. This is particularly important when you are adding images to your documentation records. There will be an introduction to the equipment to be used, explaining the basics of a camera system whilst also looking at different light sources and the pros and cons of each. There will be practical demonstrations of object photography with images visible to view on a laptop as they are taken. Attendees are also encouraged to ask questions throughout the workshop.
Please bring any photography equipment you already have with you, but don’t worry if you don’t have any at the moment.
Access: There is temporary ramp access to the Church Hall for entry with level access throughout. There are toilets, but no accessible toilet. The nearest accessible toilet can be found in the Lyceum building. There is some limited parking at the venue, with more being available in the village.
