Emergency Salvage Workshop at the Lancashire Conservation Studios, Preston
The Emergency Salvage Workshop, a half-day session delivered by Harwell Document Restoration Services, will support museum staff and volunteers to develop skills in emergency response including:
- Incident containment and methods to deal with leaks
- Risk assessment, salvage set-up and triage
- Handling and triage decision making by object type
- Using disaster kits
- Practical exercises with mock objects
- Adapting your approach for major incidents
Please note this session is repeated at Lancashire Conservation Studios on the morning of 26 February, and repeat sessions are also being delivered in Newcastle and Leeds.
Access: The training will be held in the Lower Chancel. There is disabled access to all areas with parking and toilets for unassisted access. There is a hearing loop. There is natural daylight (through stained glass windows) in the conference spaces.
