Elevenses, Tuesday 6 October, Engaging with the RICHeS Access Fund
Join this Elevenses to learn about the RICHeS Access Fund, an initiative to enable access to cutting-edge heritage science and conservation equipment, collections and expertise. RICHeS could help you reveal, protect and transform understanding of objects, collections and sites. The RICHeS Access Fund Second Call opens in September 2026.
You will hear about the RICHeS programme, the RICHeS Access Fund and the experience of Portland Basin Museum as a participant in the Catalyst programme, ahead of the First Call. Rachel Cornes, Museum Manager, will talk about their partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University to provide improved access to collections for visually impaired visitors.
RICHeS is the UK’s Research Infrastructure for Conservation and Heritage Science. It is a long term, £80 million commitment from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) – part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) – to support excellence and collaboration within heritage and conservation science.
Elevenses are informal sessions with a short presentation followed by opportunities for discussion and Q & A.
