The National Archives – Digital Assets Register Toolkit and Training
As part of their digital capacity building strategy, Our Digital Century, The National Archives commissioned the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) to develop a toolkit on creating and maintaining a Digital Asset Register (DAR) for your archive. A DAR is used to gather information to better understand your digital content and make managing its preservation more efficient. The newly launched toolkit and short online course build on our existing digital preservation guidance. For example, you can take the Novice to Know-How digital preservation course, then plan and develop a DAR.
