Elevenses, Monday 24 November, Taking a long view on the climate crisis at Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens

tea cup and biscuit

Join Justine Boussard (the Amateur Ancestor Project and Climate Museum UK) and Jennie Lambert (Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens) to hear how Long Time thinking and object-based storytelling can unlock the power of permanent collections to address the planetary emergency. They will discuss how youth collective Celebrate Different have been supported to develop their own climate engagement programme, and how CMUK’s Eco Lens on Things training has informed the Museum’s successful wider redevelopment plans.

Insightful, interactive and informal, come along to gain new insights from our guests, meet colleagues from the region, and connect with the MDN team. Everyone who works and volunteers in museums is most welcome, including museum freelancers who want to stay connected.
