Brew Up! Industrial Collections Network: Bradford Industrial Museum
Brew Up! brings together people who work with industrial collections in the North of England to explore a range of issues when caring for, and working with, these diverse collections. Throughout the day colleagues across the region will share their learning and there will be plenty of opportunities to network.

Anyone working with industrial collections will understand the need to both keep and develop the skills of people working with these collections. The day will explore how various museums across the North are using the skills of their teams to develop the visitor offer and create new business models. It is also important to use these collections to inform and enthuse the next generation, so the day will look at some of the ways museums are creating accessible learning opportunities.
There will be an opportunity to visit the Woven Through Time special exhibition, see the working machinery in action, and a delicious, complimentary lunch is provided.

Access: There is free parking and the car park has three disabled parking spaces. The outside cobbles can be a challenge to those with mobility issues, but the horse emporium has level access. Inside the museum is fully accessible by lift. There is one changing place toilet outside and an access toilet inside on the ground floor. The training room is on the 3rd floor. There is stepped access into the back to back houses and Mill Manager’s house.
Booking: Please only book if you are committed to attending, so that we give everyone a timely opportunity to book and remove the added paperwork required in dealing with cancellations. If for some reason you can no longer attend, please let us know asap so we can reallocate your place.
Industrial Collections: We have a rich history of industrial collections in the North and therefore a broad definition of what is included, so if you have any industrial items in your collection you are most welcome to attend. Industrial collections include, but are not limited to:
- Transport: Aviation, Commercial Vehicles, Cars, Railways, amongst others.
- Coal Mining
- Computing and Media
- Maritime and Waterways
- Agriculture
- Specialist Manufacturing including salt, iron, hats, soap, glass and more
- Textiles
- Mills and Watermills
- Military
- Science
