The National Lottery Heritage Fund Museum Collections, Storage, Access and Resilience Research

The National Lottery Heritage Fund is working with Heather Lomas and Emma Chaplin to research the current landscape for UK museum collections, with a focus on how they are stored, acquired and rationalised, and the extent to which stored collections are accessible to the public.
This research will directly inform the National Lottery Heritage Fund’s approach to supporting museums in the UK under our Heritage 2033 Strategy, and your help in responding to the survey will be both valuable and hugely appreciated.
This survey should be completed by a person with good knowledge of your museum’s collection– this could be a Museum Manager, Director, Collections Manager, or Curator. We are looking for responses from museums of all types and sizes, and from across the UK.
