New Filmed Case Studies – Available to watch now

We recently commissioned two filmed case studies to showcase the work being undertaken in museums in our region through our Open Grant programme.

Towneley Hall in Burnley applied for an MD North Open Grant to re-vision a corridor space into an area that is more welcoming to visitors and reflects the story of the hall. As part of the grant, volunteers were also given training to work more effectively with neurodivergent people and the retail area has been improved to better showcase local artists’ work and share the local story of the hall with visitors.

Warrington Museum and Art Gallery received an Open Grant to develop an environmentally sustainable exhibition ‘Emergency on Planet Earth!’. This was an extension of other environmental responsibility work the team have been doing, including taking part in our Carbon Literacy training.
