CBA Festival 2026 – Kin by Nettie Events

Kin by Nettie CIC is presenting three events at the Council for British Archaeology Festival 2026, exploring archaeology, landscape and belonging through movement, storytelling and creativity.
Saturday 25 July – Wild Spirit Woods
An immersive experience connecting woodland, storytelling and sensory exploration.
Saturday 1 August – Helsby Hill & The Railway Inn
A guided walk exploring the history and folklore of Helsby Hill, followed by the premiere of a specially commissioned story written by The Writing Dr, Resident Writer for Kin by Nettie CIC.. Live stream of the walk in the pub for those who prefer to stay in doors.
Sunday 2 August – Catalyst Museum, Widnes
An interactive sensory story for families exploring Widnes’ salt-making heritage through movement, storytelling and the Kin-pothecary—a hands-on cabinet of curiosity inspired by traditional salt making. The event is particularly suited to families with primary-aged children and complements KS1 local history.
