University of Salford Art Collection – Artist Call Out
The University of Salford Art Collection, in collaboration with Network Rail, are seeking proposals for a bold new artwork for Salford Crescent Railway Station.
This commission is for an artist or collective to design a permanent legacy artwork for the station. Fulfilling a planning condition for the development of the third platform, the work must commemorate the former Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal at this location, whilst also being an iconic and ambitious piece marking the station as the gateway to the University and the Crescent.
