The Imagination Museum – Networking Event at Showtown Blackpool

The Imagination Museum is a network for dance and heritage professionals who are interested in collaboration.

On Thursday 20 June, The Imagination Museum comes to Showtown, Blackpool, the UK’s Dance Capital. The Imagination Museum offers dance and heritage professionals the chance to be part of a vibrant network and to imagine new ways to collaborate and enliven heritage sites and collections with memorable dance experiences.

At Showtown, Blackpool, the event will focus on the theme of Keep Dancing, looking at dynamic ways of sustaining and celebrating the town’s rich social dancing heritage. With a full day of activities ranging from case studies from previous projects that have explored social dancing, to guest speakers, discussions, a chance to explore the museum collection, and networking opportunities.

The event is open to anyone who works in dance, arts, heritage and community contexts and will provide a space for people to connect with local partners and artists and expand their own practice and professional work.
