Saltaire Collection – Trustee
Saltaire Collection, based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, are looking for a trustee who could play a vital role in their journey to becoming an accredited museum.
They are looking for an enthusiastic individual with prior experience of developing a fundraising strategy and income generation schemes. Knowledge of donor engagement and relationship management and being able to balance ambition in proportion to a small, voluntary run charity, is important. The person appointed would join a small team committed to ethical standards and ensuring the sustainability of an exciting new museum.
The Saltaire Collection is managed by an experienced board of trustees and advisors who give their time voluntarily. Currently the board trustees have skills in museum development, financial administration, marketing and project management but lack a trustee with experience and knowledge of strategies to develop external funding and methods of income generation.
The person appointed to this role will need to be able to offer around 5 hours of their time each week. Applicants from the local areas of Bradford or Leeds are especially welcomed.
