MD North – Qualitative Research
Museum Development North is seeking a freelance consultant or agency to conduct qualitative research with museums across the North of England. The work will help us understand museum development needs, preferences, and barriers to engagement, and will inform the design of the MDN programme beyond 2028.
MD North was established in 2024 as a two-year programme to provide development support to museums across the area. We are now preparing to develop our next programme for a period beyond 2028. We want our future programme to be informed by the needs, preferences, and experiences of museums, including current users, low-engagement museums, non-users, and prospective users.
