Seeds for Action: In Focus – Audiences, Artists and Partnerships
Seeds for Action: In Focus is is a series of thematic workshops focusing on how we can build connections to support our climate work.
This session is for you if you are interested in…
– engaging audiences and artists with environmental issues,
– taking a collaborative approach to climate-focused work.
There will be a lightening talk about Hybrid Futures, a multi-part collaboration focusing on climate, sustainability, collaborative learning and co-production. This pilot project brings together the University of Salford Art Collection, Castlefield Gallery Manchester, Grundy Art Gallery Blackpool, Touchstones Rochdale and Shezad Dawood Studio. Together the partnership is exploring collective and more sustainable ways of working that will influence how they commission, exhibit and collect new work by visual artists to benefit and be more relevant to their audiences, now and in the future.
What do the sessions involve?
At these thematic workshops, we’ll be looking at how we can encourage positive conversations which lead to action within in our own organisations, with external partners, and with our audiences. There will be lightning talks from your fellow Carbon Literacy course graduates, and time to connect with others tackling similar issues.
