Elevenses, Monday 27 April, Community Centred Programming: The Giant Scarf Project, online

What happens when a simple idea grows into a town wide creative project? In this session, Aimee Broughton shares the story of the Giant Scarf Project, a co-created initiative delivered during her time at the National Football Museum and delivered in partnership with Preston North End Community and Education Trust that invited hundreds of people to contribute to a collective artwork celebrating football, place and community. Drawing on this experience, Aimee reflects on the opportunities and challenges of large scale community collaboration, sharing practical learning for museums interested in developing ambitious, community centred projects.
Aimee will give a short presentation followed by the opportunity for discussion and questions.
