Elevenses, 9 December, Lessons from the International Association of Children in Museums Hands On Conference

Join us for this Elevenses where independent exhibit designer Margaret Middleton will share some of the big takeaways from the Hands On! conference and facilitate a discussion about what museums in the North are doing to serve young children and their families. The conference is the annual meeting for Hands On! the International Association of Children in Museums, an organisation dedicated to making museums and science centres relevant for children. This year’s conference was hosted by Eureka! The National Children’s Museum and the theme of the conference was ‘Making a Difference – Raising aspirations and exceeding expectations’. Come along to this informal session to learn about new trends, hear about inspirational initiatives, and meet like minded museum professionals interested in making museums accessible and relevant for children.
