DCMS – RCEWA Member Role
The Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport wishes to appoint a new Member to the Reviewing Committee on the Export of Works of Art and Objects of Cultural Interest (the Reviewing Committee). The Reviewing Committee fulfils an important role in making recommendations to the Secretary of State to defer the grant of export licences, enabling national treasures to be saved for the UK. It is a non-statutory independent body and the Secretariat for the Committee is provided by Arts Council England.
