Barnsley Borough Council – Business Development Manager
An opportunity has arisen within Barnsley Museums to lead the Commercial Development Team.
This is a pivotal role within the service, shaping the embedding commerciality with colleagues and supporting a positive visitor experience across heritage sites as a whole.
The successful candidate will be challenged drive income generation and meet annual targets for the service through the effective delivery and growth of a range of activities and initiatives:
· Management and development of the retail offer across five site specific locations.
· Delivery and development of commercial events and activity programmes varying size and scale across key sites.
· Support the development of tenancy mix and ensure site occupancy policies are maintained and managed across sites.
· Support targeted fundraising for the service.
· Reimagine the current wedding and functions offer across sites.
· Develop sponsorship opportunities.
The successful candidate will have proven experience within the field, leadership skills to manage a dedicated team and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
The role requires the post holder to use their own initiative and demonstrate strong communication skills with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
